The Whole Picture



The students created this poster to show the never ending cycle of plant to food, to compost, to plant, back to food.

 A group of ELL students has been taking care of a vermi-composter for the past few months.  We were so excited when the worms came in the mail from Cathy's Crawly Composters.  We built them a home, and have been feeding and caring for them.  The students have done such a great job that they have been able to gather a whole bin of compost to help our fruit and vegetable garden grow.  This is a sustainable way of growing food; that means it can go on forever. 

It has been such a pleasure to working with all the students and parents involved!!  I hope we have a bountiful harvest in the fall!!
